Elevance Health's Government Business Division Staff Vice President Rachel Chinetti has been named president of Wellpoint Tennessee.

Wellpoint Tennessee is a wholly owned subsidiary of Elevance Health, which recently named management changes.

Wellpoint Tennessee provides managed care benefits for TennCare, Tennessee's Medicaid program serving roughly 1.4 million people statewide.

Chinetti will lead the health plan's strategy and operations across the state, focusing on whole health and strengthening access, quality and affordability for TennCare members, Elevance said. She will work closely with state leaders, providers, advocates and community partners to reach aims in care for rural health and maternal health members as well as long-term services and supports (LTSS).

"Rachel is a nationally respected Medicaid and LTSS leader whose deep commitment to person-centered care and her extensive experience across provider, managed care, and state Medicaid leadership roles position her to drive meaningful impact for TennCare members," said Jennie Reynolds, east region Medicaid president for Elevance Health.

Chinetti brings 19 years of Medicaid and LTSS experience, including in TennCare programs and, most recently, as staff vice president in Elevance Health's Government Business Division, where she led the national LTSS Center of Excellence.

In that role, she guided strategy to support person-centered care and expand community-based support for older adults and individuals with disabilities, Elevance said.

Chinetti formerly held leadership positions within Wellpoint Tennessee. She is a native Tennessean based in Nashville.
