Henry Ford Health has announced a partnership with Nomi Health to create direct-to-employer relationships with Michigan employers.

Employees within the plan will have access to $0 out-of-pocket care for themselves and their families, according to Nomi Health.

Henry Ford, headquartered in Detroit, has a network of 13 acute-care hospitals and more than 550 care sites in Michigan.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Direct contracting aims to lower costs by leaving out the insurer. Hospitals also get reimbursement faster, according to Nomi Health. Patients and employers also see lower healthcare costs.

Michigan employers gain access to Henry Ford Health's network of more than 4,500 clinicians in 13 counties through Henry Ford's value-based Mosaic Clinically Integrated Network (CIN). The CIN will offer primary, specialty and complex care with $0 deductibles, $0 copays and no surprise bills for employees and their families.

THE LARGER TREND

This partnership comes as employers face mounting health costs. Some insurers in the state have filed double-digit premium increases for 2026, according to the Detroit Free Press

Nomi Health, based in Orem, Utah, said it has been expanding its direct contracting model across major regional health systems nationwide and within Michigan. Founded in 2019, the company's integrated platform combines analytics, direct provider networks and payment solutions, serving 4,000 customers nationwide.

ON THE RECORD

"Our commitment to improving affordability and access to high-quality healthcare has never been stronger, and this partnership helps us deliver on that mission," said Robin Damschroder, CFO and president of the Value-Based Enterprise at Henry Ford Health. "We are proud to join forces with Nomi Health, who is equally committed to expanding access to high-quality, affordable care for employers and families across Michigan."
