President Donald Trump has announced the official launch of TrumpRx.
Through the TrumpRx.gov website, patients can see the discounted prices. The site does not sell the drugs, advising consumers to follow the instructions on each drug offer.
Depending on the manufacturer, patients with valid prescriptions will be able to access savings through coupons that can be printed or downloaded onto their phones or through channels set up by the manufacturer and integrated into TrumpRx.gov, according to The White House announcement.
The discounted pricing is available only for cash-paying customers. This means consumers pay out-of-pocket for the drugs.
The site promotes most-favored-nation pricing - which is the lowest price paid by other developed nations - on popular drugs such as GLP-1 medications and promotes large discounts on many of the highest-priced medicines in the country.
WHY THIS MATTERS
The launch features drugs made by the first five manufacturers that reached most-favored-nation deals with the Trump administration: AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, EMD Serono, Novo Nordisk and Pfizer.
Additional drugs from other companies that have signed pricing deals will be made available through TrumpRx.gov in the coming months.
Price reductions on 40 of the most popular and expensive branded medicines in the nation include Ozempic, Wegovy and Zepbound; fertility medications such as Gonal-F, Cetrotide and Ovidrel; inhalers Bevespi Aerosphere and Airsupra; topical ointment for atopic dermatitis Eucrisa, Insulin Lispro; and Duavee, a medication used to treat hot flashes and osteoporosis.
THE LARGER TREND
On May 12, 2025, Trump signed an Executive Order on most-favored-nation drug pricing.
On July 31, 2025, Trump sent letters to pharmaceutical manufacturers and since September 2025 announced 16 deals with major pharmaceutical manufacturers.
On Dec. 1, 2025, the Office of the United States Trade Representative, the Department of Commerce and the Department of Health and Human Services announced an agreement with the United Kingdom to increase the net price of new prescription drugs in the UK by 25% to ensure they help pay for drug innovation.
On Jan. 15, Trump proposed The Great Healthcare Plan, which included lower drug prices and insurance premiums and price transparency.
Congress passed a funding bill this week that did not include Trump’s proposal.
